Jacob and Esau
Just for your thoughts.
Through his weakness,Jacob took away the glorious birthright of becoming the head of the family.
Because of his mother’s scheme, he lost his father’s blessing to Jacob.
Esau was severely deceived by his younger brother in two ways.
But Esau forgot that deception in time and embraced his younger brother Jacob without any hatred and blessed him. Although Jacob realized his mistake and offered to give him various rewards as compensation, he did not accept it at first. When we see these events, when we compare our actions chosen by God with the actions of the people of the world, their actions are often seen to be superior.
The fact that the Bible teaches that our actions as believers in the New Testament should be more righteous than the righteousness of the world's people is a great warning to us.
